Pine Ridge Welcomes the Arrival of Irma from the Czech Republic
Irma on point Mike Pallotta (owner of Pine Ridge) acquired a new female Pudelpointer Irma from the Czech Republic. Irma was raised and trained by friend Jiri "George" Hrbek. Mike flew over in late October 2011 to visit with the Hrbeks and obtain his new 4-legged friend ...Irma. While visiting, George took Mike out with Irma to demonstrate her abilities ...searching, pointing, backing and blood tracking. Irma was very impressive in the field hunting birds, but Mike was highly impressed with her 600 yard blood track. She also pointed a few rabbits and gave chase to a wild boar in the bush. Mike purchased Met (Mickey) a pup from one of Irma's previous litters. He now understands why Mickey has been such a fine dog ...Irma, the mother of Mickey, is an outstanding hunter and performer.
Irma has earned ten prize I's and one prize II. She has tested in both the Czech Republic and Austria and has earned the title of Versatile Champion in Europe.
Irma will be replacing the Pallotta's deceased house dog 'Happy'.
Big fans of Grandpa George and 'Irma' the Pudelpointer.
